About

Rita Leistner is a photographer and filmmaker who planted trees from 1984-1993. She is the Director and Producer of the documentary film Forest For The Trees and author of the companion book Forest for the Trees, which won the Best Mountain Image Book Award at the 2022 Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival. She also worked in war zones and taught photography at universities.
